Tamkeen relaunches Basic Skills certification
Manama, Aug. 8 (BNA): Tamkeen said its has relaunched its successful Basic Skills Certifications Scheme, designed to equip Bahrainis with crucial skill sets for future employment.
The programme has been relaunched as part of Tamkeen’s efforts to provide Bahrainis with the core skills to make them the employee of choice and build their capabilities throughout their developmental stages.
The new edition of the Basic Skills Scheme sees the project open to all licensed training providers to participate as well as introduces a wider selection of certificates aimed to offer programme participants more skill sets to benefit from. In addition to the new scheme process and structure, Basic Skills scheme has become fully automated, allowing users convenient ease of online access. The new training programme is open to Bahrainis aged 16 years and above.
Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi, Tamkeen’s Chief Executive, praised the revamped scheme and its benefits saying: “Tamkeen is proud to bring back the successful Basic Skills Certification Scheme, as part of Tamkeen’s continuous efforts to create opportunities for Bahrainis to develop their employability skills in order to make Bahrainis the employee of choice for semi-skilled and skilled professions.
Tamkeen’s Basic Skills Certification Scheme tailored to support Bahrainis seeking to increase their employability by learning integral skills. The new edition will ensure a more efficient user experience and will offer participants an even wider variety of skill sets to select based on their needs to position them to become Bahrain’s future difference makers.”
Basic Skills seeks to offer participants with key employability skills such as language and communication, numeracy, information technology and basic professional certifications. When registering, users will be able to select from a list of Tamkeen- quality training providers based on the skills preferred by the participants.
